Two Case of Typhoid Menaingitis

Abstract
|
|
|
In first case of typhoid meningitis in 12 years old female patient, placed on chloramphenicol 80mg per kilogram of body weight per day in four divided dose and 1000mg of chloramphenicol was given intravenously every day.
On the second days the children was .placed on 20mg of prednisolone intramuscularly every day until death.
In Second case in 13 years old female patient, 1000mg chloramphenicol was given intravenously and 1000mg chloramphenicol intramuscularly every day from first admission day until nineth day.
The child was placed on 30mg prednisolone intramuscularly from the 4th day until next day and chloramphenicol 60mg per kilogram of body weight per day in four divided dose from 10th days until discharge day. On 31 days, patient was recovered.
